📖 What is HURT RECORD?

A collectively-run free BGM site where multiple composers contribute tracks across 170+ themes, like "battle," "everyday," and "horror." It hosts over 2,700 BGM tracks and 500+ sound effect files, searchable by theme, artist, or popularity ranking. Usage is free (royalty-free) for both commercial and non-commercial purposes, but commercial use requires submitting your name and where you'll publish it to the site in advance and receiving a permission email. Crediting is optional. The site also offers a custom music commission service.

💡 When to Use It

For when you want to match your starting-soon screen, main stream, and ending BGM by theme to keep a consistent world for each scene. Since multiple composers submit tracks for the same theme, you can add variety while keeping the mood consistent. Also good for finding a theme track for horror game streams. If your channel is monetized, it's safest to complete the prior-permission process before using a track.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Find tracks by theme list, artist, or popularity ranking.
2. Step 2: Click a track name to preview it and read the composer's comments.
3. Step 3: For commercial uses like monetized streams, submit your name, where you'll publish it, and the track name to the site in advance, and wait to receive a permission email.
4. Step 4: Download the track from its page and load it into OBS or your editing software to use it (crediting is optional).
5. Step 5: Load it into OBS's Media Source and arrange matching themes across your starting-soon screen, main stream, and ending.
