📖 What is PeriTune?
A free music asset site distributing original BGM built around fantasy, Japanese-style, and horror worlds. Batch-download MP3/OGG/M4A along with loop versions; credit is optional and commercial use is allowed (except some paid tracks). Tracks from March 2026 onward use a custom license; earlier ones are under CC BY 4.0 (some paid originals also available).
💡 When to Use It
Handy for RPG playthroughs, TRPG streams, Japanese-style segments, and horror productions when you want BGM to reinforce the mood on screen. Celtic and folk-inspired tracks pair well with fantasy-themed starting soon screens, and playing the loop versions in OBS keeps long streams from having noticeable seams. In clip videos, dropping in a short track or jingle at scene transitions lets you build an atmospheric edit using free assets alone.

🚀 How to Use
- Step 1: On the PeriTune official site, open a category close to your stream or video's world — "Japanese-Style," "Fantasy," "Horror," and more
- Step 2: Preview the regular and loop versions on the track page, and pick assets with a length and mood that suit your starting soon screen or video edit
- Step 3: Download the format you need — MP3, OGG, M4A — and check the terms of use for the licensing that applies to each track's publish date
- Step 4: Load it into OBS's media source or your video editor, and lower the volume so it doesn't overpower your voice or sound effects
- Step 5: Credit PeriTune's name and URL in your description or credits, so viewers and co-editors can easily trace the source
