📖 What is VB-CABLE?

The go-to driver for adding a virtual audio device that passes sound from one app on your PC to another. Installing it adds a playback device called "CABLE Input" and a recording device called "CABLE Output"; whatever you send to Input comes straight out of Output. It's aimed at streamers who want to route only game audio or a music app to OBS or Discord. Windows XP through 11 (32/64-bit and Arm64) and macOS 10.10 or later are supported. It's donationware — free for personal use, with an optional payment of whatever amount you think it's worth.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Download VBCABLE_Driver_Pack (or VBCable_MACDriver_Pack on macOS) from the VB-CABLE page on the official site and unzip it.
2. Step 2: Run the setup program in the extracted folder with administrator privileges, then restart your PC once installation finishes.
3. Step 3: In Windows Sound settings, change the playback device of the app you want to route (a game, browser, or music player) to CABLE Input.
4. Step 4: Add an Audio Input Capture source in OBS, select CABLE Output as the device, and confirm the level meter is moving.
5. Step 5: If you want to hear the audio yourself, enable "Listen to this device" in the CABLE Output properties to send it back to your speakers.
