📖 What is Nightbot?

A free cloud-based chat bot that automatically manages chat on Twitch, YouTube, Trovo, and SOOP. There is nothing to install: sign in on the official site, press "Join" on the dashboard, and it joins your channel. From the control panel you can set up Timers for recurring messages, Custom Commands that answer ! commands automatically, Spam Protection that filters links, repeated posts, and excessive caps, plus Song Requests, Regulars for your frequent viewers, and Giveaways.

💡 When to Use It

It earns its place on solo streams with no moderators, where keeping up with chat on top of everything else is too much. Park announcements like "my socials are here" or "here is my gear" in Timers and they go out between game segments, so you stop repeating the same explanation out loud every stream. On big collab streams that attract trolls, Spam Protection auto-filters links, repeated posts, and excessive caps while ! commands answer the usual questions for you. It also handles song requests and giveaway entries.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Go to nightbot.tv and sign in with the account for the platform you want to use Nightbot on (Twitch, YouTube, and so on).
2. Step 2: Press the "Join" button at the top right of the dashboard to bring Nightbot into your channel, then follow the popup instructions to give it moderator status.
3. Step 3: In Commands on the Control Panel, add custom commands in the form "!commands add !name response", and set the user level (-ul=) and cooldown (-cd=) as needed.
4. Step 4: Register your announcement messages and their interval under Timers, and turn on the Spam Protection filters for links, repeated posts, and excessive caps.
5. Step 5: Set up Song Requests, Giveaways, and Regulars if you want them. Note that on YouTube, Nightbot only joins while you are live and your stream is public.
