📖 What is Soundpad?

A soundboard for Windows that plays sound effects and music through your microphone input so the other side hears them in Discord, in-game voice chat, and more. Assign a hotkey to each sound (numpad keys and mouse buttons work too) and choose whether it plays to headphones only, microphone only, or both. It also includes "Block voice" to replace your mic signal, volume normalization, and recording of what you hear with simple cut editing. Supports major formats such as mp3, wav and ogg. A trial is available; the full version is a one-time €4.99 on the official site, or ¥580 on Steam (free demo available).

💡 When to Use It

Perfect when you want to play comedic retort sound effects, applause or drumrolls in a way your partner can also hear during Discord collab streams or voice chat hangouts. It also works for hyping up your squad with classic sound effects over voice chat during multiplayer game streams, or playing correct/incorrect sounds with a single hotkey in quiz segments. It solves the problem of OBS media sources not reaching the people you are on a call with.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Get Soundpad from the official site or the Steam store and install it (you can test it first with the free trial or demo)
2. Step 2: After launching, drag and drop the sound files you want to use (mp3, wav, ogg, etc.) into the list, and enable volume normalization if the levels differ
3. Step 3: Right-click each sound and assign a hotkey so you can trigger it with a single key while playing games or using Discord
4. Step 4: Choose the playback target from headphones only / microphone only / both, and keep your default microphone selected as usual in Discord or the game's voice chat
5. Step 5: If your streaming software also captures your mic, the same sound effects reach both your call partners and your viewers, so balance the volume with a test call
