📖 What is Mirin's Video Assets?

A personal site distributing free video assets for streaming and video editing. Everything is organised by purpose — emotion effects, caption bases, transitions, sparkles, hearts, frames, YouTube end screens and small parts — and each asset comes in two formats: ProRes 4444 (mov) with an alpha channel, and H.264 (mp4) on a green screen. Free for both personal and commercial use, with YouTube monetization of videos using the assets permitted. Credit is optional.

💡 When to Use It

For when you want to add motion to captions and reactions. Layer an emotion effect over the moment you are surprised on a chatting stream, or decorate a karaoke stream screen with sparkles and hearts. In editing, a transition between chapters and a “YouTube end screen” asset at the close pull a video together without building templates from scratch. The pre-cut ProRes 4444 version is another advantage: it layers straight in with no background to key out.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Open the asset page closest to your purpose from the categories at the top of the site (emotion effects, caption bases, transitions, parts and so on).
2. Step 2: Check the motion in the preview and download either the alpha channel (ProRes 4444) version or the green screen (H.264) version, whichever suits your editing setup.
3. Step 3: ProRes 4444 mov files carry transparency, so layering them onto a Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve timeline removes the background on its own. Green screen versions need chroma keying.
4. Step 4: To use them live in OBS Studio, add the green screen version as a Media Source and apply the Chroma Key filter to layer it over your stream screen.
5. Step 5: Check the prohibited uses in the terms (redistributing or selling the assets themselves, posting works where the assets are the main content, claiming them as your own). Credit is optional; if you include it, write “Video assets: みりんの動画素材” with the site URL.
