📖 What is Move Transition?

A free transition and filter plugin for OBS Studio. Beyond the "Move" transition, which smoothly animates the position and size of matching sources when you switch scenes, it also includes the Move Source filter for moving sources without switching scenes, Move Value for changing numeric values, and Move Audio for changing audio. You can also set easing and curved paths. Works on Windows / Mac / Linux, GPL-2.0 (by exeldro).

💡 When to Use It

Use it when switching from a chatting scene to a gameplay scene and you want your character art and chat box to glide into their new positions instead of snapping away, for a more polished, show-like transition. It is also handy for adding effects on the fly with the Move Source filter without changing scenes — like zooming in on your avatar with one button to emphasize a reaction, or sliding the camera frame off-screen as you go into a break screen.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Download Move Transition from the GitHub releases page and install it into OBS
2. Step 2: Select Move under OBS Scene Transitions and set the duration and easing
3. Step 3: Place the sources you want to move in multiple scenes, with different positions or sizes in each
4. Step 4: Check the switch in the preview and adjust speed and motion until it looks natural
5. Step 5: Before going live, switch through your main scenes once to make sure nothing jumps or overlaps unexpectedly
