📖 What is Photo AC?

One of Japan's largest free asset sites, distributing over 12 million photo assets and run by ACワークス (AC Works). With a free membership, you can search by keyword, category, or AI image search, then download in the size you need. Editing and commercial use are both allowed, and no credit is required. Free members are limited to 4 keyword searches and 3 AI searches per day, with a wait time before each download. A Premium plan is also available, offering unlimited search and downloads plus a license for use in merchandise.

💡 When to Use It

Great for situations where you want real photo assets — a real-world landscape behind a chatting stream, or a food photo for a cooking stream's thumbnail. It covers realistic imagery that illustration-based asset sites can't — travel, seasons, food, office scenes, and more. You can also use it to make announcement banners or member-recruitment images. Since free members are capped at 4 searches a day, it's more efficient to search for and download all the photos you'll need in one sitting.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Sign up for a free membership on photo-ac.com with an email address or social login, then log in
2. Step 2: Search by keyword, category, or AI image search, and narrow candidates by sorting by relevance, newest, or popularity
3. Step 3: On a photo's page, choose a download size — S, M, L — and download after the displayed wait time
4. Step 4: Load it into OBS's "Image" source for a starting soon screen or background, or bring it into a thumbnail tool to add text over it
5. Step 5: Since free members are limited to 4 keyword searches a day, search for photos you'll likely need in one batch (or upgrade to Premium for unlimited searches)
