📖 What is StreamFX?

A feature-rich plugin that adds filters such as 3D Transform, Blur, Color Grading, Dynamic Mask, Virtual Greenscreen, and Shader to OBS Studio, along with shader-based sources and transitions and encoders such as NVENC and ProRes. The source is published under the GPL, but prebuilt downloads are limited to Patreon supporters (paid). Not compatible with Streamlabs Desktop or XSplit.

💡 When to Use It

Use it when OBS's built-in filters aren't enough and you want to polish how your stream screen looks. For example, you can tilt the game screen with 3D Transform to give your opening a three-dimensional look, or match the color tone of your camera feed to your VTuber model's vibe with Color Grading. It's also handy for blurring the background of your starting soon screen with Blur so the text overlay in front is easier to read.

🚀 How to Use

1. Step 1: Follow the guidance on the official site (streamfx.vhonowslend.com) to become a supporter on Patreon, then link your Patreon account with Discord to receive the download (you can keep using versions you've already downloaded after your support ends)
2. Step 2: With OBS Studio closed, run the downloaded installer to install it (on Windows, Visual C++ 2017 or later is required)
3. Step 3: Launch OBS, right-click a source → “Filters” → “+”, and confirm that StreamFX entries such as “3D Transform”, “Blur”, and “Color Grading” have been added
4. Step 4: Set effects for each scene, such as angling your face cam with 3D Transform or applying Blur to the game screen background, and check how it looks in the stream preview
