Streamlabs Desktop

📖 What is Streamlabs Desktop?

A streaming app built on OBS that folds alerts, overlays, and a chat bot into a single tool. It supports the major platforms — Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Kick — and ships with Collab Cam for inviting guests with just a link, hundreds of free overlay themes, and the free Cloudbot chat bot. Because alerts are configured inside the app itself, you can build a complete streaming setup without stitching together separate services. The core features are free; Ultra, which adds multistreaming and 1,000+ themes, starts at $15.75/month (check the official site for current pricing).

💡 When to Use It

A good fit when you're setting up your first stream and don't want to get stuck on OBS configuration or wiring up alerts. Picking a theme gives you frames, a starting-soon screen, and alerts all at once, which cuts down the work before you go live. It also suits streamers who want to push to Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok at the same time using Ultra's multistreaming. For collabs, sending a Collab Cam link is all it takes to add a guest's camera.
