📖 What is Switcher Studio?
A multi-camera streaming app that links several iPhones, iPads and Macs so you can switch between up to nine cameras while live. The point is that phones you already own become your second and third camera, with no dedicated switcher or capture card to buy. It handles lower thirds, scoreboards, slides and pre-recorded video inserts, up to five remote guests, and simulcasting to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and more. There is a 14-day free trial; paid plans are Studio at $65 a month and Suite at $99 a month, with a discount for annual billing.
💡 When to Use It
For streaming an event from a live house or classroom when you want to cut between a wide shot and a close-up. Set two or three iPhones on tripods and you have a switched production without renting a dedicated switcher. The other case is a hands-on demonstration stream: put one camera on the whole scene and one close on your hands, then switch as the steps progress, and cooking, illustration or craft streams become far easier to follow.

🚀 How to Use
- Step 1: Install Switcher Studio from the App Store on each iPhone or iPad, create an account and start the 14-day free trial.
- Step 2: Open a studio on the main device you will operate from (a large-screen iPad is easiest to work with) and add the other devices on the same Wi-Fi as cameras. You can register up to nine angles.
- Step 3: Authenticate and connect your streaming accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and so on). How many destinations you can stream to at once depends on your plan.
- Step 4: Register lower thirds, logos, scoreboards, slides and pre-recorded video as layers and line them up so you can drop them in instantly during the show.
- Step 5: On the day, tap the previews on the main device to switch cameras as you go. YouTube and Facebook chat are gathered into one screen, which makes it easy to read messages while hosting.
